Okay, the nearly turned out to be the worst day of history bestowed upon me-

I champion-ly left my laptop in the toilet cubicle after my lecture.

I realised only after about 20mins or so, wondering why my hands were feeling so naked today and it hit me, it was gone.

Panicked, cried, panicked. But at the end of the day, it was just about God. I prayed and prayed hoping that a kind soul would return it to the admin office or somehow.

And true enough, God was good.

A group of girls sitting at the benches held on to it and they were actually about to return it to the lost and found department of the school. Really appreciate and thankful to each one of you girls.

It was lost but now found.

It is truly a lesson of responsibility, yes it was definitely careless on my part and this made me realise alot more on how God's love and amazing grace never fails and is always sufficient for me and integrity still exists today definitely.

haha apologies for the fast updates! hehe been pretty caught up with the new house and other miscellaneous stuff. Photos of the new house will be uploaded when its done! (:

There was one occasion whereby I witnessed a really sweet scene. There was a really really sweet old couple having dinner together. It might just be a dinner but I guess what struck me was how smiled and looked into each others' eyes. THEIR EYES ARE LIKE ANIME, SPARKLE SPARKLE. No kidding haha. It just simply made me go 'wow shooooo sweet'. True love really do exist and transcends all boundaries.

haha my life's been pretty mundane, totally just not making full use of the holidays as what I wanted heh. If some of you had asked me what have I been doing this holidays and I said nothing much, its really really true true true true.

Okay a quickie update about myselfffffff

Actually I'm pretty determined to open a blogshop haha and aunty stella can be my model mwahaha. Just gonna strive towards this dream and see where God leads!

I've got braces now teehee :D It hurts like hell but I guess its all for the sake of vanity. No pain, no gain! Saying goodbye to gooooooood food. PORRIDGE AND OATS FTW :( :( :(

The cupcakes simply just look too good to be eaten! I guess it can be my eyecandy, does that count haha. Liking it from a distance sadly hahahaha

Attended an SE Talk today, super inspired and encouraged by how SEs share their visions, enterprise and then there was a mini discussion on setting up workshops at the void decks of HDBs, I thought it was a fantastic idea, making full use of the space provided yet supporting the livelihood of the jobless HDB people.

I feel so inspired to inspire now hahaha but I guess right now, I'm just too afraid to step out cus I don't really know where to help but I want to and like what Glory said, all the red tapes and rules implanted, sure its gonna be a tough process. But not forgetting God, who will make all things possible!

I really wanna set up an SE but seriously no plans in mind haha except for the fact that my main focus would be on material goods. haha I think I gotta start planning likeanow :)

Oh and I regretted signing up for NYAA, totally wasted $17, could have bought 170 fishballs with that amount of moolah. I don't wanna give up on NYAA also but it was shattered when I read one of the requirements -4days adventurous journey!?

Yesterday's soccer match was exciting yet disappointing with Liverpool's defeat 1-2 against Man Utd. I'm not really an avid soccer fan but I definitely support Liverpool (sorry man u fans)

TORRES' HEADER WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. He was flying so high and amazing in the air hahaha

WOWOW it's already mid-march. Time really flies.

Back then, I was hoping so much that time would fly so that I could grow up. But now that I've grown up, I really want time to slow down. If only I could grab the controller from CLICK movie to play, pause and stop haha how nice.

Anyway, my life's pretty mundane. If you're thinking its happening, nahhhh. Sadly ah haha. If you classify watching k/jap dramas at full speed as happening then hahahaha yeah totally

I've been spending more time with mommy, hardly going out! I've really come to understand how tough it is to clean bathrooms, wipe dust off electrical appliances. No joke.

Working at the banquet section at IHotel another no joke waitressing job. Definitely pressurizing, stressful, tired, scoldings, to simply put it, the environment was unpleasant. But at least the bridegroom was quite goodlooking hawhaw! Okay that's not the point, but I'm still glad I've got to experience it and really taste the working environment. I've really learnt to honour the people there. I was looked down upon couple of times, scolded no matter how hard I tried but God gave me strength to pull through and love yet respect the people there.

Back home from a fulfilling ambs retreat! I've never ever cried so much today, you seniors really meant alot to me, honestly. You all have a special place in my heart.

Right now I can't sleep (zonked out at 4plus and I just woke up), skipped lunch and dinner and right now, I'm super super awake.

Congratulations to those whom got promoted! Do me proud okay! Those that were hoping for a promotion but did not attain it, don't worry you can still be a good and respectable leader in your own way.

Impromptu speech on friday was like adacadabra? haha I don't know. When I first saw my topic, "What moral issue best defines you", I was super tio-ed + kena-ed + stunned until wooooaaahhhho. It was tough. Although I did pray really hard for a manageable topic, I guess things can't always go the way I want it to be. I know God will always want the best for me.

But by God's grace hehehe I did my best and yeahhhh at least I said something. Although immoral issues could be eating grapes, listening to music?!?!?! hahahaha I was sooo nervous and brain fried that I talked about that. Totally didnt make a single sense. Aiyahhh cham ah cham but I'm glad after all that has been said and done, I saw this as a blessing rather than a problem. It wasnt that bad after all.

Semester 2 just came to an end, can't believe I've went through 17 weeks of lessons, time flies! There were ups and downs, regrets and fulfillments. Soooooooooon it'll be exams and then hello hello Year 2!

One word WOW. This is so timely yet true in my life. This semester has not been rather good to me, failing like a somebodeh for tests and all and I think God's really putting me in a test of faith and perseverance. Never give up no matter what happens. Everything can turn around by faith, determination and hard work.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, yes I can. It is not the end.

On a lighter note, I just lost face today. I was walking alongside with Stella aunty, Xuemynee and Mel smallshit when my skirt flew up up up up thanks to that mega huge tsunami wind. hahaha so embarrassing it was free show for 3 of them. I wished I could hide myself in a hole or something at that point of time but noooooo. There was no hole for me sadly. They saw everything too muchhhhhhh. I should have fined them for peepingtom

Youth Leaders Camp Reunion Dinner!

Ambassadors family!

This is really true during my two days of ambassadorial duties at Open House 2010. It was one of the best events that I have experienced and I'm thankful to God for everything, from the smooth flow of presenting small talks to the students to building friendships with the visitors. It's really important when you commit everyday to God. He will definitely lead you through and He will do within us what we cannot do for ourselves :)

Although my legs are jelly and aching from all the standing the whole day, brain fried from watching the NP showcase video so many times that I lost count already, throat sore from all the presenting and talking over and over again, a little disheartened from missing important cats lesson, it was all worth it. Haha I was playing the bad guy role during the late afternoons, rejecting NP students from claiming their goodie bags at the spot-check counter. Sorry, its really meant for visitors only! Today there were NP students coming clad in their school uniform to get the goodie bag and free t-shirt contest. Hahaha its really a WOW mann, at least the stuff that NP offers is so good that they would do anything to get it :)

Alright, tomorrow's the last day of Open House and its gonna be the longest time till 9plus. I know its gonna be awesome by the grace of God :)

POA was disastrous like Tsunami. Definitely a wake up call for me. I must admit that this semester I have really been a total slacker. Play hard but never once considered about working hard. Time to buck up and I'm thankful that there's a last chance for me to redeem myself - POA EXAM.

On a brighter note, I am excited to move move move :) Jamming room, new bed, new walk in wadrobe awaits me hehehehe I feel so blessed

Philippines Trip 13-19 Dec 2009

To put it simply into words, it was more than amazing. It was supposedly a study trip but I felt that it was more than that. I have got to know the Filipinos more and understand their culture, language and way of life and most importantly, taste the meaning of true joy and happiness that money cannot buy. They may be poor but I believe they were the happiest. Seeing how they are living their life out for God and putting Him above all else, WOW. Initially, whenever I think of filipinos, the word 'maids' would come instantly to my mind. This trip has definitely erased all of my misconceptions.

1. I have got to know what GK is all about
2. I ate at least 2 bananas everyday when I was there but still couldnt shit only till the 4th day
3. The kids reminded me of the kids in Cambodia
4. Home stay with the family in Manila was definitely an eye-opener
5. Bathed in cold water everyday no joke freezahing
6. ALREADY HOT BUT HOTTER.
Thank God for His unfailing love and grace
Had a mega high fever on the first and second day but by God's grace, amazingly healed on the third day.
7. I think I can beatbox hahaha
8. Got to know more people in bzse :)
9. I couldnt swallow my malaria pills

I love reading quotes, you will just go WOAH and inspired at that split second. I know I should not be blogging at a time like this (Assignments/Projects + Preparation for school trip) but anyway, just felt that this blog needs a little update and wakie wakie call. Its quite dead!

I knew I did not perform well in some areas, did not manage my time well and spend time with my loved ones..definitely big regrets but despite all that, I thank God for seeing me through. I don't believe in coincidences but God-incidences, its amazing how my friend puts it. His love and grace never fails.

I might not be feeling the stress nearly everyone is experiencing now...hahaha must be God's supernatural power of grace but I know I will survive! Strongholds will be broken so, bring it on STRESS. When you limit yourself, you limit God. (via @sampokk) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me :)

I'm working on the Ris Low saga for my current school project and its really devastating to see people criticising her even though she has failed to present herself well on National TV. Just looking through the nasty comments posted on youtube, msn entertainment news...mann, that really gotta hurt if I were in her shoes. She's human after all and everyone's not perfect either who come from good cheem pro woah woah English speaking background and all yknow! We are all called to love :)

Her story has brought so much controversy and attention to the general public but yet, she's still living life to the fullest and fighting for that one dream and that is to open an ice-cream shop. It's amazing how she never gives up and push herself on despite all circumstances. I really salute her for that.

I do admit laughing and teasing at her videos because of the way she speaks and all. In fact, her now widely used words- Boomz and Shingz are also pretty unique that I use it sometimes hahaha

People do make mistakes in life. I believe the least everyone could do is to give support, some words of encouragement and advice to her rather than choose to condemn her.

If you really think smoking is cool, it is not. It kills.

Although its really assuring now that attempts of displaying the after effects on cigarette packets to discourage people to smoke less have been made, I still find people/ my friends undisturbed by it! It would just struck them at that split moment only. Smoking is definitely quite a drug. I really salute those who quit smoking. You have just earned my respect haha :)
I do have smoker friends and I don't want to judge them as another group of bad company that I shouldnt be hanging out with. They are my friends after all and I don't wanna lose this friendship and bond that I share with them over smoking!

Youth Leaders' Camp 23-25 Oct 09 :)

Emcee-ing was definitely one of the biggest challenges I have encountered in my entire life mann. I must admit it was tough being my usual self in front of such a big group of students and you must really watch what you say esp when you're representing np and its also a reflection of the school's reputation! It was an eye-opener definitely and hey, through these mistakes and obstacles that I've picked up along the way brought about greater lessons that Ive learnt for myself :)

My experience at my workplace is really an eye-opener. I've learnt to better understand foreigners, deepen friendships with them and to shine. They are all really nice and friendly people from humble backgrounds.

19 September 2009 was well-spent although I didnt really planned out my day :)

It was worth spending 4 hours of my time at the SEFFY Forum. Definitely a humbling experience.

Those questions hit me hard and good. I remember vividly that I have always wanted to become an entrepreneur, a teacher and a missionary since kindergarten. Ambitious right! My teacher would then ask me, you sure you can handle all three? I would always reply her, Of course I can.

Today was definitely one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Firstly, I received a call from Uncle David that I have a job in his company! whoooo

Secondly, at about 3 plus, I received another call from this dessert outlet at parkway parade. God is indeed generous. He provided for my needs, more than what I wanted actually. Indeed, my Jehovah Jireh, God of Provider :) :) :) hehehe im super happy

I realise that all the waiting and job hunting has not gone to naught. God has been indeed faithful and gracious to me hehehehe im so thankful and grateful!!! There were moments of unhappiness and frustration when all my friends are already working ever since school hols came and I havent settled for one yet. ): This is definitely a learning point for me and that is to really place my trust in God. Trust and obey for there's no other wayyyyy

Its not that God doesnt want me to have jobs that I have signed up for but rather choosing and placing me in a job that best suits me.

If it does not turn out to what you want it to be, well that's because God believes that that is not best for you. You may not realise it now (eg. complaining to God for all the negations), but you will realise later that hey, thank God it happened! He has a reason for everything.
God always does things that is best for his/her child.
He loves us, calling all of us His own.

Sermon was about Honouring your civil authority

Have you ever thanked bus drivers for providing service to the country or to the policeman who had just fined you for speeding?

I am sure many of us have taken for granted this service rendered or even talk behind their backs like "screw this policeman mann, go and fined me."

I realise if we do that, we are actually burning the bridges that we are trying to connect with the rest of the people. Instead of reaching out to them, we are throwing it away by speaking ill of them or joining in to gossip or spite them.

To honour God is to honour your leaders, parents, cleaners, teachers, etc. Those in authority. Even though they might be at fault at times, always honour them! If they sinned, God will handle them.

I challenge you guys to do a simple gesture be it telling the stallholder, hey thanks for the food! Your service is good. Words of encouragement really helps and you are honouring them indirectly!

According to John Bevere,

When God's people honour those in authority, pray for them, walk in obedience to God's words, we will see outpourings of God's spirit on our towns, cities and nations.

I love Singapore.

Day Of His Power was held today at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Definitely awesome and unforgettable :) Its cool how all the churches in Singapore gather together to pray. We prayed for the nation, churches and 7 gates! (eg. Family and home, Education and school, etc)

I have realise that I have taken Singapore for granted so so much! Such an imperfect country yet so precious in God's eyes. How God is always so gracious to keep Singapore safe and sound for us citizens to live in. How God allows christianity to happen in Singapore compared to many other countries. How God takes good care of Singapore with good governance and leadership in place. ahhh God's so gracious.

Many things happened over the last week bbbbut imma too lazy to pen it down. Bbbut it was my first time witnessing a group of teenager boys dashing off after having their meal at fish and co without paying??! WHATBs. Its kinda sad to see these kinda events happening. I started off the day by mistaking two girls walking towards the school bus stop for jia en and xue hui. WELL DONE RIGHT. I got off dad's car (thanks for fetching!) and beamed widely at them. POSTING RESULTS OUT TMR AT 8AM!
gahhh time flies. I am really trusting God for the results. Let go, let God!

The past few days of See (C) An (N) Why (Y) was spent in Ipoh, Malaysia. (dad's birthplace) It was fruitful and kinda fun. Catched up with my cousins, relatives, grans and rose, my favvvv maid who tenderly cares for granny. She is seriously the best maid Ive ever come across though i dun have a maid now. I ate like alot alot alot. Had like wan ton mee for 4 consecutive meals. Its super shiok, way better than spore's. The food there is really cheap and good. A plate of wan ton mee is about 3.5 ringgit. I guess mostly people travel there to see limestone caves and go there for good food. haha. Anyway, my granny is the cutest thing on Earth, seriously. haha during the reunion dinner, she was drinking her seafood soup when out of the blue, she slurped super loudly that Rose jumped! hahahah that scene was hilarious. Soooo cute okay. haha another incident was her skilful throw. When we reached her place, Rose was not in to open the door and grans is wheelchair bound. haha so she threw the keys!!! SUPERRRR ADORABLE. hahah i told her lay hou tuk yee (yre cute) and hou leng (pretty) and she said nono. hahahah. We came back on tuesday night and guess who we bumped into at tuas! Uncle Patrick and uncle alfie's family. yeah such a coincidence. (:

Stayed over at ama's crypt ystd with rachel! haha watched Accuracy Of Death. hahaha knocked off halfway during the show. It was not boring, but i was super shagged. heh. We watched Bride Wars today. haha its a good show! A must watch. I rate it 4 starsss.

hahah just got lectured by dad for spending too much. haha he looked into my wallet and found alot alot of movie tickets. I just watched 3 movies this week. yeah kinda guilty nowww. haha now you see how bored and free i am. haha coming to think of all these stuff about results and all, I'm really opening up my eyes to see God's goodness, His never ending faithfulness in my life and the plans He has in store for me (Jer 29:11-13). He bless me with just enough to choose ngee ann business studies (hopefully *trusting God) as my first choice, kinda actually what i really wanted.

haha though monday was the day i truly regretted to go through, cannot tahan and the day i kept on questioning God on why this score and not lower, I began to realise that He did not bless me with less cuz He knew that i would choose the jc route which He believes that that is not the best for me.

yeah so now everything is surfacing. hahaha which im really glad yet remorseful for my past actions i kinda did to God. (Reality struck me and those thoughts of why God chose not to bless me but bless others kept on remaining in my mind.) but now, all's well and over. My life and future is in His hands and Im gonna trust in Him all the days of my life.

Yeah and so, I cried when I saw my results. It was kinda awful thinking that its sticking with me for the rest of my life.
But ultimately what I really want may not be what God thinks is the best for me. So for now, I am definitely praying hard as to which course to plunge in or even by His grace, get it.

BACK!!!

I miss Cambodia X90594608704895780468905604956. This mission trip was more of relational rather than seeing it as a checklist or something to be done. I wanna go back next year! haha. I will never forget the times spent there with the kids, meeting up with the AIDS patients, etc. It was painful to part especially when we had built relationships with the kids and people there. Despite major setbacks in their lives like their fathers running off with another woman after causing their mommytobe to get pregnant or parents forsaking them, the kids still continued to live life to the fullest and the hope they have really touches my heart.

Mummy Ruth & Tracey, many thanks for hosting our team and showing the kids the meaning of life and sharing about Jesus which speaks so much truth in their life.

teens camp was good. Unforgettable experience i must say. The first day was really unexpected where we had to undergo tough training, practically like boot camp! haha we had to do pushups if we were late or forgetting to greet/ask permission or simply no reason! It was tiring but Im glad everyone persevered!
